   Spanish is one of the many new things I am learning this year. I recently was able to have a small conversation with a spanish speaking person on a game because of my newfound speaking skills, and I thought that was pretty cool. He asked if anyone spoke spanish, and I was able to say " Hablo un pocco de espanol."(I speak a little bit of spanish.)So he asked where I was from, and I told him "Estadas Unidos, y usted?" (United states, and you?) He told me he was from Colombia.
   One of the other things I am learning is guitar. I am doing this for both fun and for school. I am making faster progress than I could have dreamed, and I am having a ton of fun. Some of the songs I can play along with are 'Red River Valley', and I am working on 'Amazing Grace'. So far the only songs I know are the ones included in the program, but I am also trying to learn 'Heart-Shaped Box', by Nirvana. Another song on the program I like to play is 'Hey, ho, nobody home' Sorry I took so long to write about this months journal entry, it took me a while to think of something to write.

Mike the Unicorn!

This is Mike, the unicorn:

When I scanned the image, it didn't turn out so well.... Mike was supposed to be pink where the white is, and purple where the darker parts are.

Mike is a character I made for this month's writing prompt

Mike is the new kid on Sesame Street.  He loves to sing, so he has chosen to teach this to little kids.The thing he doesn't get is, Oscar will never want to sing with him.  He keeps trying  get Oscar to sing, only to to have trash thrown at him.  Oscar  gets so mad, he throws some of the trash really hard.  When this happened, Mike got a hole in his arm.  Oscar thew another piece at him, and it tore a hole in his belly.  Luckily, Mike is made of cloth.  Now you know how he got his patches.

Drawings I have done

These are some of the drawings I have done.  The ones I have here are my least-lame, the only ones that are worthy to show another human being, haha.

 This is a dragon taking off in flight, this type of dragon doesn't have legs, but gets around on wing alone

 I have not chosen whether this is an imp, a demon of some sort, or another dragon. When I draw, I just draw first, then chose what it is.

These last two are a sort of one page cartoons I like to make.  See if you can guess what they are!

The first is a poor little ice cream come melting in the evil sun,

The second is what happens when a bar of chocolate meets a cookie for the first time, and is shocked!  The cookie feels likewise.

The world of minecraft

Hey!  In this post I am going to talk a little about a game called minecraft.  In this game, you start out in the middle of nowhere with nothing and no one but yourself.  You have to gather wood, make tools, and battle monsters.  There really is no definite ending to the game, but the closest to an end is when you defeat the enderdragon.  There is also a creative mode in the game, where you break blocks in one hit, can't die, and have unlimited access to all blocks. Oh yea, and you can fly!  Here are some screenshots from my creative world :) .

This is part of a road I built, it my not look like much but it took a long time. It's bigger up close

 This is a roller coaster I made.  I have a control system to turn the power on and off to each track.  This is really two roller coasters, but it's hard to tell.  I control the tracks using redstone dust, which is like circuits of electricity for minecraft.

 This is a Farris wheel I made, which you can see part of in the picture above. Too bad there is no way to make it really turn! :)

All of these things you have seen I made by myself on a single player world, and it took a while, so I am quite proud of my work.  If you have any ideas on what you would like to see me build next, post a comment!

Writing a few things

Here are a few things I have been writing, the story of a heart-broken pepper, and of a snowflake who does not know that the end is coming soon...

Pepe the Pepper

Hello, I am Pepe the pepper. My life is one that is rather terrible. I have seen all of my friends ground up into salsa, or fried to go on a beef sandwich. I have escaped this fate many times, but it has cost my friends their lives, for I hide behind one of them as The Hand reaches into the cold world we call home. I saw the blinding white that lights up our world when it comes, so I moved myself slowly between Jose and Bell. The Hand searched for a while, then to my horror it grabbed Jose! I tried in vain to hold him back, but The Hand was stronger than I. Jose was lifted into the air, then the hand took him out, and our world was plunged back into the darkness once more. I tried to block out the screams that would surely follow. “Good bye, my dear friend.” I cried softly into the darkness.

So this is the story of the day I lost my friend. Take pity on pepper kind, and please, please do not again eat anything containing peppers, for it is a cruel thing to do.

Frosta the Snowflake

Frosta floated down from the sky

The big blue sky that reached so high

She loved the feeling that she could fly

She was so happy she could cry

She could not know her end was nigh

The Drizzt series.

Hey!  It's me, and today I just got the 4th, 5th, and 6th books in a really neat series of books I am reading!  It's called the Drizzt series, and I like it a lot. It's about a drow,(dark elf) named Drizz Do'Urden, and he runs away from the underground city of the dark elves, Menzobaranzan.  This city is full of backstabing and betrayal, and they sacrivice children to  Lolth, their evil spider deity whom they worship.  The elves here are locked in an endless battle for power, destroying the noble house above them.  The slaughter of those above you is puneshed by death... but only if you're caught.  You can only acuse a house who has killed another if you are of that house which was elimanated... so they leave none alive.  Drizzt creates a life for himself on the surface world, being shuned by many who see him, because of his dark heritage.  I could go on and on about this great book by R. A. Salvatore, but you really have to read it for yourself.

Here is a pic of the first book, I don't know what happened, but it got a little messed up, up at the top the two parts are switched.  Anyway, I really hope you all start reading these books, they're epic  :)
